According to recent reports, Judicial Watch attained Secret Service and Air Force archives this week that reveal the whopping expenses associated with President Obama’s attendance at the Paris Climate Change Conference.
The records reportedly reveal that Secret Service charges and flights added up to $2,976,296.20.
As if that figure wasn’t shocking enough, it does not even include expenses for Secret Service meals, meeting rooms, or cabinet members’ travel and catering.
The conference took place November 30 to December 12 of last year, during which time Obama’s Secret Service spent $706,065 on hotels alone—staying in places ranging from the Hilton Astor to the InterContinental Paris Le Grand.
Expenses include $531,598 in vehicle rentals, and $652 for renting a copier.
This adds to the long list of Obama travel expenses, which have reached $82 million. Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, has long criticized Obama for “wasteful and unnecessary presidential travel that abuses taxpayers, the military, and the U.S. Secret Service.”
What do you think of these new reports? Is this absolutely unacceptable?
