What an idiot.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick explained that he wouldn’t stand for the pledge of allegiance because he didn’t “want to honor a nation that oppresses black people.” He was specifically referring to police brutality, apparently unaware that it affects white people more than black people.
Now, it turns out that he has quite a twisted view of what exactly an oppressor looks like.
During a press conference Monday, San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick didn’t want to talk about his moronic decision to refuse to stand during the National Anthem. Instead, he talked about what it’s like to play, et cetera.
But while he wouldn’t address the controversy by saying anything, the shirt he was wearing said enough.
Great. Except there’s one problem. He was telling us all this Monday while wearing a shirt with Malcolm X and Fidel Castro on the front with the words “Like Minds Think Alike.

So police are oppressors… but Fidel Castro isn’t? There’s quite a list of oppressive activities that the Cuban dictator has spearheaded. Thousands of Cubans have died in front of Castro’s infamous ‘paredón’ (the wall). There was no discrimination, as far as sending people to the firing squad was concerned. Young and old, black and white, rich and poor were sent to ‘el paredón’. And that’s just when he took power!
Did I mention there’s plenty of racism in Castro’s Cuba too?
Heck, there’s a Cuban Memorial displayed at Tamiami Park, Miami, Florida, where each cross bears the name of someone killed by the Castro regime.
And his other hero, Malcolm X isn’t much better. The man was hardly a Civil Rights activist – in fact, it would be more appropriate to describe him as the antithesis of someone like Martin Luther King.
Kaepernick doesn’t care about oppression, he just hates America and is trying to justify it.
