This week, 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick made headlines when he refused to stand for the National Anthem at a preseason game with the Green Bay Packers. Instead of honoring our country and those who fight to protect our freedoms, Kaepernick decided to give a half-hearted nod to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Kaepernick sparked outrage when he claimed he was “not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”

Kaepernick argued that there were people in the streets and cops getting away with murder. This is coming from an $126 million player who claims he is “oppressed.”

Kaepernick’s position was quickly brought into perspective when someone posted a photograph of a U.S. Marine standing proudly, as tall as he could from his wheel chair.

This powerful image says more than Kaepernick’s ridiculous attempt ever will. Do you agree?
